Trent Walton always nails his posts, and this is no exception. It talks about Atomic Design from a conceptual view and invites you to not necessarily prescribe to the specific classifications but instead find your own analogies that explains the concept to your team and clients.
We bailed on the atomic metaphor, opting for a two-tier classification (like styles and components) that fed into templates and pages. The decision reduced organizational friction, and made the styleguide easier to use (navigate) on a daily basis.
